Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermatology

Dr McKibbin has been practicing Skin Cancer Medicine since 2012, beginning with a qualification from the University of Queensland (Professional Certificate of Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine).

Since then he has completed thousands of skin checks and removed hundreds of lesions including malignant melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, all the while honing dermoscopy and surgical skills.

Skin consultations make up 15 percent of general practice consultations on a day-to-day basis. As such, Dr McKibbin has recently commenced a Professional Diploma of General Dermatology, assured by Bond University in order to further his knowledge in the complex field of dermatology.
